Erick Ferris
Founder and Principal

Born into a military family, Erick traveled all across the United States. 12 cities and 8 schools later, he currently resides on the east coast. It’s rumored that he actually drove his car from the Jersey Shore to the Santa Monica Pier in under two days…and then back.

He shot his first video, “Star Spuds,” in April 1998 using in-camera editing. Shortly thereafter, he started making movies with his brother, Sean. He and Sean used a High 8 camcorder for all their work until 2003. Lacking Flash software, they used Microsoft PowerPoint 97 and MS Paint to animate dozens of shorts, including the “Rene Tyler Moore” series.

Erick continued his passion of making movies throughout college. He has a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master’s in Television, Radio, & Film from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications.

At Mizzou, Erick was a member of the MU Film Club, Mizzou Students for Film, the Missouri Student’s Association Senate, and the College Republicans. He was also the Communications Director for the Mid-Missouri Field Marshall during the 2006 U.S. Senate Election.

Erick enjoys cars, baseball, bowling, Legos, Nintendo, and drawing. His favorite TV show and movie are Gargoyles and Independence Day, respectively. He likes to try new foods on any occasion. Keep him away from the cookie dough. He is a Founding Father of the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity which rechartered in November 2004.
